Why Prints Matter

Why Prints Matter

Art has always been more than something pretty to hang on a wall. It’s memory, heritage, meaning, and story—woven together in color and form. But for too long, original art was considered out of reach for most—something reserved for galleries, collectors, or those with deep pockets.

I believe art belongs everywhere. That’s why I have created the Prints, from my current and past collections, to make art accessible without losing any of its heart. Prints aren’t just copies; they’re bridges. They carry the same spirit and story of the original into a form that fits beautifully into your everyday life.

What Is A Print

Let’s clear something up: fine art prints  are not posters.  Or at least they shouldn't be.  Every APFA print is carefully created on archival paper, matted, and signed.  To preserve what makes the original special I make sure everything has been thought through:

  • Photos & Printing:  Chip Freund Photography manages all the photos and printing of April's work.  He captures texture and depth with his high-quality processes and prints on high quality paper.

  • Matting: Each print comes with a acid-free high quality mat and backer board for easy assembly for any frame.  The sizes are standard so you can easily purchase a frame once it's delivered.

  • Signature: Each print is hand signed by April in the lower right corner.  Each comes with a certificate of authenticity and signed both by the print vendor and April with the details of the original piece.

Prints open the door for new collectors while keeping the integrity of the art intact. They’re about making beauty available, not exclusive.  I have many prints in my own home of many of the artists that I have found along my journey.

The Case for Prints

Prints carry the same story and soul as originals—they just make them easier to share, and enjoy.

Prints offer more than affordability—they bring flexibility and freedom to collectors at every stage.

They let you:

  • Start small and grow your collection at your own pace.

  • Style easily, whether that means building a gallery wall, creating a focal point, or gifting something meaningful.

  • Bridge to originals, many collectors begin with prints, then step into originals as they grow.
