Inspiration Behind 'Energy'
'Energy' is a meditation on the unseen force that moves through all living things. At its heart is 気 (ki), the Japanese character for life force, the breath behind the wind and the current beneath every form. Divided into four sections like a bento box, acrylic painting invites the eye to travel between light, spirit, and growth, and to sense the single pulse that connects them.
In the upper left corner, rays of gold and cream fan outward like a rising sun. Across from it, ki glows in gold and blue against deep shadow, a sacred mark of what cannot be seen but is always felt. Below, a full moon rendered in swirling layers of white holds a windswept bonsai tree, its branches bent but unbroken, flowing with the wind with grace. Beside it, textured stalks of bamboo rise steady and tall, a symbol of resilience, flexibility, and the strength found in yielding. Together, sun and moon, stillness and motion, root and breath, each panel reflects the same truth: energy is never still, and we are always part of its flow.
Measuring 30”L x 30”H x 3"W and painted on high-quality, gallery-wrapped canvas, Energy is wired and ready to hang. It's an homage to the Japanese culture and our unified connection. This piece brings energy, peace and a touch of reverence to any space.
